What is celebrated at Christmas and is this holiday exclusive to Western culture?
A brief exploration through the history of mankind shows that there have always been attempts to find explanations about the universe and the cosmos. The birth of Christ or Christmas, for example, is one of the most amazing mysteries concerning our existence. That is why this event has been recounted by man in different cultures around the world, long before Jesus of Nazareth came to earth.
The Solar Myth
The story of the Nativity or birth of Christ is known as the Solar Myth . Thus the hero of this story has been presented in all times as a God-Man and his life unfolds and unfolds according to the movement of the Sun.
In ancient times, the birth of Mithra, for example, was always celebrated with great festivals during the winter solstice. And in the old Egypt of the Pharaohs Horus, the divine spirit, son of Isis and Osiris, was also born at the winter solstice.
Nowadays, science corroborates that on the eve of that date we witness the longest nights of the year, where darkness reigns in the world, but from that day onwards the darkness ceases to grow and a process begins in which the Light begins to increase. Between the 24th and 25th of December, the Child Sun that is born is advancing in its cycle towards the north, moments in which the constellation of Virgo, the Immaculate Virgin, shines resplendent at the zenith.
The Eternal Cosmic Mother

If we study Comparative Religions, we will discover immaculate conceptions everywhere: JESUS is conceived by the work and grace of the HOLY SPIRIT. The MOTHER of JESUS was an IMMACULATE VIRGIN.
The Death of Christ
During Holy Week the phenomenon occurs in which Light and Darkness are balanced, they have the same duration both in the day and in the night. And it is at that moment that the death of Christ occurs. But from the resurrection of the Lord, the phenomenon occurs that the days begin to be longer than the nights, with light triumphing over darkness.
Similarly, in Ancient Egypt, it was at this time of year that Osiris died at the hands of Seth, and was depicted with his arms outstretched as if crucified.
Also on this date the death of Tammuz in Babylon was mourned every year. In Syria and Greece there were also many sacred mournings for Adonis. The death of Mithras was also celebrated in Persia.
In short, in all the mystery schools the solar career, from birth to death and resurrection, was dramatised. The initiate then constituted his life with the solar drama and became in fact a solar individual.
The Universal Christ Principle
In all ages there lived Masters who assimilated the universal infinite Christ principle. Thus in Egypt Hermes was the Christ, in Mexico the Christ was Quetzalcoatl and in sacred India it was Krishna.
That is why anyone is astonished when they make a comparative study of religions. For we could quote the Cosmic Christ in thousands of archaic books and ancient traditions going back thousands of years before Jesus. Christ esotericism is the Solar religion of all ages and centuries.
The secret doctrine of the Saviour of the World was taught among the mysteries of the Knights Templar, among the mysteries of the Aztecs, Mayas, Incas, and Toltecs. It was also taught in the mysteries of Eleusis, of Rome, Mithras, Carthage, Tyre, as well as in the Celtic, Phoenician, Egyptian, Druid, and all the early Christian sects....
The Birth of the True Man
Those who do not know the Hermetic wisdom, who have never made a study of Cosmogenesis or Gnostic Anthropology, are ignorant of the wisdom of archaic times.
But the time has come for us to go through a great revaluation of principles. It is time to lift the veil of mystery. For the Christ is not an individual, but an impersonal cosmic universal principle.
The great Jesus of Nazareth totally assimilated the CHRIST Principle and in fact became a God-Man. He was a true man in the fullest sense of the word, for he succeeded in assimilating absolutely the Universal and Cosmic Christ Principle. He is the most exalted being that ever walked the face of the earth; He is the Saviour of the world.
Modern humanity has made the mistake of separating Christmas, the birth of the Christ Jesus, from all his predecessors who, like him, became Christified. However, it is a mistake to believe that the Christ was exclusively that great Teacher, and this is detrimental to humanity today. The Christ is a force and can express Himself through anyone who is properly prepared through the path of intimate self-revolution.
Gnosis is the synthesis of universal knowledge. Join our self-knowledge courses and learn more about these topics.

Inverential Peace, in the three factors of the revolution of consciousness we must ask ourselves in these days; we receive the Christ but how do we help humanity? How many defects have we disintegrated? Do we work in the great arcane? May we have the time and the will!
Excellent! We will spread the word. Thanks for sharing! Good luck!
1. Making people aware of Christ. This is hard work, as most people are busy with other things and do not see the reality of their lives.
2.Many times we do not disintegrate our defects but we hide them, thanks to what society will say... Without realising that this is not the way, because we do not achieve evolution as an individual. 3.No, we don't.
This is a great article. Best regards.
Excellent lecture on Christmas and the Cosmic Christ
