Personality before and after life

If a man is born in 1950, lives 70 years and dies, where was he before 1950? And where will he be after 2020? Official science still has no answer to this. Although this is the general formulation of all questions about life and death: Personality, where is it before and after life?

Most people feel very identified with their personality, defend it and are generally very sure that they are their personality. However, this is only one aspect of the inner structure of the Human Being. That is, an individual is much more than that energetic vehicle which we call Personality.

Personality is of time

Before the present life, the personality that each one uses did not exist and will not continue to exist after death. Because personality is the child of time, it is born and dies in its own time. And it is evident that what has a beginning, inevitably has an end. But there is something that did exist, and will continue to exist beyond this life, and that is the essence.

"The essence is what we really are".

It is the innate and the purest thing we have within us. It is there where the values and virtues are to be found, the hidden possibilities of man that can be developed. The essence is eternal and never dies. However, the personality serves for only one existence, and is therefore of time.

How is personality formed?

When a child is born it is beautiful because it expresses only the essence. But as the child grows up, the personality is formed until the age of 7 and then it becomes stronger. That is why the experiences the child has during these first years are very important. They will be the marks that will condition the child's entire existence.

Personality is a vehicle for this life

The personality is a vehicle for the essence to manifest itself. For it requires an adaptation to the culture and society in which the individual lives. But, as we have said, it serves for only one existence. And each time an existence begins, it needs to be re-formed.

For example, in our society today it would be very difficult to cope with a personality from the time of ancient Greece or with a personality formed in the Middle Ages. That would simply be a misfit.

But as personality is a vehicle of expression, it can also be a vehicle of the EGO, of the psychological defects within us. In fact, most of the time, that is what happens. That is why we are so prone to make mistakes in our lives and to fall into negative emotional states. The latter we can change by knowing the workings of our psyche through self-knowledge and precise techniques.

In short, the human being is made up of many aspects that most people are unaware of. In other words, we know very little about ourselves, which is why we often wander around in the world as if we were blindfolded. So we don't see the world as it is. But more importantly, we do not see ourselves. If only we could see ourselves, we could know ourselves and discover all the mysteries about life, death, the universe.... for they lie in our inner cosmos.
